The Solution To The Voltage Failure Of The Electric Tar Catcher

Date:2025-07-07 Visit:81

Electrical Tar PrecipitatorThe Problem Of Voltage Not Rising During Operation May Be Caused By Electrical System Faults, Abnormal Electrode Systems, Poor Gas Conditions, Incorrect Operating Parameter Settings, And Other Reasons. The Following Is A Specific Analysis Of The Causes Of The Malfunction And Solutions:

1、 Electrical System Malfunction

1. Fault In The High-voltage Power Supply Itself

Reason: Short Circuit Of Transformer Winding, Damage Of Rectifier Components, Malfunction Of High-voltage Power Control Module.

Solution: Check The Oil Level, Oil Temperature, And Winding Insulation Resistance Of The Transformer. If There Is A Short Circuit, Replace The Transformer. Test The Rectifier Diode With A Multimeter And Replace Any Damaged Components. Repair Or Replace The High-voltage Power Control Module, Restart The System And Observe Whether The Voltage Is Restored.

2. Insulation Degradation Of High-voltage Cables Or Insulators

Reason: The Insulation Layer Of The Cable Is Aging And Damp, And The Surface Of The Insulator Is Scaling Or Cracked.

Solution: Use An Insulation Resistance Meter To Measure The Insulation Resistance Of The Cable (should Be ≥ 100M Ω), And Replace The Aging Cable. Stop The Machine And Clean The Tar Or Dust On The Surface Of The Insulator. If It Breaks, Replace The Insulator (quartz Or Ceramic Material Can Be Used).

3. Abnormal Grounding System

Reason: The Grounding Resistance Is Too High (normally ≤ 4 Ω), Causing Current Leakage.

Solution: Use A Grounding Resistance Tester To Test The Grounding System, Add Grounding Electrodes Or Use Resistance Reducing Agents To Lower The Resistance. Check If The Grounding Wire Is Loose And Tighten The Connection Point Again.

2、 Abnormal Electrode System

1. Deviation Or Deformation Of Electrode Spacing

Reason: The Cathode Wire (corona Electrode) Is Loose, And The Anode Plate (precipitation Electrode) Is Displaced, Resulting In Uneven Electrode Spacing.

Solution: After Stopping The Machine, Check The Tension Of The Cathode Wire, Adjust The Suspension Device Or Replace The Loose Cathode Wire. Correct The Deformed Anode Plate To Ensure That The Electrode Spacing Meets The Design Requirements (usually 200~300mm).

2. Severe Electrode Surface Contamination

Reason: Tar And Dust Deposit On The Surface Of The Electrode, Forming An Insulating Layer.

Solution: Regularly Perform Water Washing Or Steam Blowing (online Or Offline Cleaning) To Remove Sediment On The Electrode Surface. If The Pollution Is Severe, The Machine Should Be Stopped And Rinsed With A High-pressure Water Gun. If Necessary, Neutral Detergent Should Be Used To Assist In Cleaning.

3. Short Circuit Of Electrode System

Reason: The Cathode Wire Comes Into Contact With The Anode Plate, Or Foreign Objects (such As Detached Tar Blocks) Fall Between The Electrodes.

Solution: Stop The Machine And Check If There Are Any Foreign Objects Between The Electrodes. After Removing Them, Test The Insulation Resistance. Adjust The Position Of The Cathode Wire To Ensure A Safe Distance From The Anode Plate.

3、 Influence Of Gas Conditions

1. Gas With High Moisture Content Or Low Temperature

Reason: Excessive Humidity Leads To An Increase In Gas Conductivity, Which Can Easily Cause Flashover; Low Temperature Increases The Viscosity Of Tar And Deposits It On The Electrode.

Solution: Control The Gas Inlet Temperature (usually Maintained At 80-110 ℃), Add Preheaters Or Adjust The Process Parameters In The Front Section. Add A Gas-liquid Separator In The Front Stage To Reduce The Moisture Content Of The Gas (humidity Should Be ≤ 20%).

2. Gas With High Dust Content

Reason: Dust Particles Adsorb On The Electrode Surface, Affecting The Electric Field Strength.

Solution: Optimize The Front-end Dust Removal Equipment (such As Bag Filters And Cyclone Separators) To Control Dust Concentration ≤ 50mg/m ³. Increase The Flushing Frequency Of The Electrostatic Tar Precipitator To Prevent Dust Accumulation.
